While I was still pregnant, one of The Mister's co workers said to him "once you have a baby, you meet so many people that you would never be friends with unless you had a child." Of course that, among all the other info and tips, got lost in the crowd of information that was thrown at us.
Well, fast forward to now and Cy is of the age that we are going to social groups and playgrounds, and this is something that totally rings true. Having a child completely opens up your social circle in ways that you never thought possible. Just yesterday, I met a mom and her two sons at the playground. We bonded over things like us both being bloggers and both having sons with unique names. After we left, I realized I never got the mom's name...but I do know her two son's names! #MommyProblems
I am sure once Cy starts sports, this circle will be opened even wider. Although my biggest fear is becoming one of "those" sports parents so hopefully I can avoid becoming one and avoid being friends with one. I'm going to be the mom at the little league game in wedges and short shorts sitting in a pink camping chair. I'll be one of "those" #MilfySportsMoms.

Confessions Of A Stay At Home Mom {Vol. 2}
The Mister is taking this Friday off from work and you know what I am going to do? Get my eyebrows done and go to the mall ALL BY MYSELF. #BeJealous
I never thought going to the mall solo would be so exciting to me (and exciting enough to blog about) but I have honestly been looking forward to it all week. My excitement lies in the fact that I don't have to lug a stroller, sippy cup, diapers, a child etc with me. All I have to do is grab my wallet, get in the car, listen to the music as loud as I want and go to the mall. This may not sound like a big deal to any non parents out there (please consider yourself lucky that at this point in your life you don't see the big deal in going to the mall alone) but for me, it's almost like going to the spa (almost).

Confessions Of A Stay At Home Mom {Vol. 1}
Confession - I can't stand when I go somewhere (HomeGoods, Target, etc...) during the week (and during the work day) and said place is busy. I will actually make an off hand remark to Cy that sounds something like..."Doesn't anyone work anymore?!" (HAH!) I think every mom can attest to the fact that it takes an extra 45 mins per child to get out the door...so when I am finally out the door, I don't want to have to deal with a lot of people crowding up the aisles of my local Tarjay, at 11 am on a Wednesday, no less! (#firstworldproblems) This is also the reason I loathe school vacation week and never visit the mall on the weekends. #antisocialmuch? And FTR - You know all you 9-5 moms think the same exact thing when you have a *day off and have to run errands!
#sorrynotsorry
*I use the term "day off" loosely because everyone knows that a mom never has a day off!
